Maryam Dawas, Gaza, Palestine

Maryam Dawas is a bright, loving 9-year-old girl from Gaza. Despite living through war, famine, and repeated displacement, she carries a smile that inspires everyone who meets her. Maryam has a serious immune disorder that attacks her body every day, leaving her weak and vulnerable. In times of peace, she would be cared for with the right food, medicine, and hospital treatment. But in Gaza, under siege and without access to proper medical care, her condition has become life-threatening.

Maryam is more than her illness. She is a daughter, a sister, and a friend who dreams of going to school safely, playing with her siblings, and growing up without fear. She loves her family deeply and clings to hope, even when the world around her feels unsafe.

Her story, not just as “a case” or “a statistic,” but as a little girl with a name, a voice, and a future worth fighting for.

How To Get Involved

  • We are calling on Prime Minister Keir Starmer and the UK Government to act urgently and grant Maryam medical evacuation to Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) in London, one of the world’s leading children’s hospitals.

This is not just about saving one child; it is about showing that compassion, action, and responsibility can triumph over delay and indifference.

  • By donating to Maryam, you are giving her family the means to survive each day, covering food, clean water, shelter, and urgent medical needs, while we fight for her evacuation. Your support s a lifeline of hope and a step closer to securing the treatment Maryam desperately needs.

  • By following and sharing Maryam’s official social media channels, you help amplify her voice and keep her story alive in the public eye. Every like, share, and comment builds pressure on decision-makers and shows her family that the world stands with them in hope and solidarity.
